The Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute and Movement Disorders Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center invite you to this year’s Total Care Annual Symposium.
This year's theme Working Together for Better Outcomes: The Interprofessional Approach to Parkinson’s Care will focus on collaborative, team-based care for people living with Parkinson’s disease. Attendees will explore the roles and unique contributions of various disciplines such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, etc., as well as of the patients and caregivers themselves as essential members of the care team. They will gain practical tools to identify when interprofessional support is needed and how to initiate referrals. Emphasizing resilience and community support, the sessions will highlight strategies to help families live well with Parkinson’s.
