I cleaned my Toshiba VCR with alcohol. It removed a big part of the remaining sticky stuff. Now the tape almost doesn't stick anymore to the drum and it's able to fast forward and rewind! It's not eating the tape anymore when ejecting. But of course the heads are 100% busted and there is no picture. Now the mechanism and I don't regret to have bought the VCR.
