Recently, a Toronto art exhibition due to exhibit the work of A local painter cancelled the event due to complaints the artist was about to commit an act of "cultural genocide" by creating works influenced by another culture to her own.
If you think this sounds just too stupid to possibly be true, you would be half right: it is too stupid but it is true.
