On July 15, 2026, IQAir, a Swiss air quality technology company, deemed Toronto to have the worst air quality among major cities in the world. The poor air quality is a result of smoke from wildfires in northwestern Ontario.

Environment Canada is encouraging people to limit time outdoors, and watch for symptoms of throat irritation, headache and cough. #Toronto #Wildfires #AirQuality
