This was a very rare tornado to actually hit within the city limits of Chicago. It tore along the street of Jarvis in Roger's Park on the very northeastern end of Chicago as it moved eastward toward the Lake Michigan one block away. It appears to have been a small one, staying mainly along the street, largely sparing homes and apartment buildings, but did do damage to trees.
