Hi all,
So here we have a delightful, dare I say it, delicious aromatic! I think the 1st thing that struck me was that amazing Chocolate Orange. Seldom do blends transfer the ‘tin note’ to the pallet. Well this dose in spades and is very moorish.
A good mix of Black Cavendish and Virgina’s that have a very high quality of topping is my guess.
From the 1st light you get that chocolate orange which is sweet and well balanced and as you get down the bowl it turns a little bitter. Don’t be mistaken thinking it is a nasty bitter but a good bitter like a good orange zest. Only on the tongue is it bitter and that sweetness comes through unchanged on the retro hail. Also of note the Virginia becomes a little more pronounced the deeper down bowl you go.
It burns evenly, though a little quick and may need slow cadence to get the best from this blend. I had no tongue bite (even with a little heavy puffing) and it left little moisture in the bowl. A great room note and a pleasant after taste that lasted for a good half hour.
I would urge on the side of caution as the orange is strong and may ghost a brier if smoked regularly.
All in all a fine aromatic and one I’m very glad to have tried as the quality is top draw. lastly the nicotine I would say is mild to medium.
