I've been working on this game in my spare time over the past 2.5 years and I'm finally able to release a demo publicly!
If anyone is familiar with NES Gyruss, they will feel right at home (though the regular enemies are quite spongy). It's a bit rough around the edges, but I'm very happy with the way it's turned out so far.
This is a super-scaler shmup where you can move the ship in a circle in the foreground while enemies come at you from the background.
NES Gyruss has been one of favorite games ever, and I'm very happy to make a game with this style.

Music composed in Deflemask (Arcade YM2151+PCM) and FamiTracker (Konami VRC6 and Namco N163)
Made with Gamemaker Studio 2. Runs on PC. Linux will need a wrapper.
Controller highly recommended but you an use keyboard.
