In this video tutorial/guide, I'll be showing you how to pass the Shot Selector (Serve) platinum training in Shot Type category of MyCareer monthly training for your MyPlayer in TopSpin 2K25. The Shot Type trainings require you to Hit areas on the court with the correct shot type. Too many incorrect or missed shots will fail. In this one, you need to hit 30 serves on target areas marked with a particular type of serve. Green is for flat serve. Purple is for slice serve and Orange is for Top Spin serve. You have 10 serves that you can miss or hit with the wrong type before the training fails. You have 3 retries available per attempt, after which the training is available after 2 months in-game calendar. This training could be challenging for some players who find it hard to aim with the left stick, especially on an Xbox controller where the aiming is too sensitive. It is better on Keyboard and DualSense. The key is to hold the left stick until the end when you hit the serve and try to time it in the perfect green zone. I personally prefer to power serve using right stick Advanced serve for extra power. But you can use the buttons to do normal serves or hold them for a power serve. I suggest doing it whichever way you serve in an actual match as this training is the best for serve practice.
This gameplay is captured on the PC (Steam) version of the game running at maxed out graphics in 1440p.
