MY NEW POETRY CHAPBOOK, GHOST HOUSE: amzn.to/3qLs5xM
Where to Find + Support Topaz:
ORDER "So, Stranger" : buttonpoetry.com/product/so-stranger
patreon.com/topazwinters
Twitter, Instagram: @TopazWinters
You can find their books and more on their website: topazwinters.com
(psst... a PDF download of "Heaven or This" is only $3. A great place to start. But Portrait is my personal fave.)
I had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Topaz Winters, one of my absolute favorite contemporary writers. We talked about their poetic influences, experience with self publishing, what it's like to be in the spotlight so young, what advice they'd give a young poet, and more! I hope this video makes my viewers feel as inspired as it made me feel. I have a lot of critical thinking to do after this talk, about how much I let the publishing world dictate (and quite possibly stifle) my style and my taste in poetry. Coming off of this chat I'm hoping to rekindle that natural, childlike spark and joy that comes from writing ... and put aside the publishing concerns (at least for a while).
