This special presentation is a screen recording of the unique switch track in action and all three Top Thrill 2 aka TT2 Trains launching between 2-2:05pm Sun Apr 28, 2024. Black, Blue and Silver trains. The total amount of time for all three trains to run was approx. 5 min.

The switch track is comprised of two sections of short track, connected on the same mechanism. The left section is short & curved that slides to the right, allowing the train to access the launch section from the station that's its the left. The switch track then slides to the left in order move the curved track out of the way and to place the right section into a straight track position for the actual ride. When the train returns toward the station on the return track, which is parallel across from the switch track, then the process repeats.

This web cam was recorded during a pre-season special event for Season Passholders. I ride TT2 on Tue Apr 30, 2024 for a Gold Season Passholder special ride event. I plan to upload videos!

Opening Day is Sat May 4th from 10am-8pm (coincidentally Star Wars day aka "May the 4th Be with You". Cedar Point doesn't have any official event for that.

The sign in front of TT2's ride entrance as shown in the video states:
“Due to the Dynamics of this Ride: NO LOOSE ARTICLES WILL BE ALLOWED PAST THE ENTRANCE - this includes waistpacks, cell phones, wallets, keys, hats, game prizes, backpacks and any other items.
YOUR POCKETS MUST BE EMPTY.
Glasses must be secured with an athletic strap.
Loose fitting shoes without a strap or back are not permitted past entrance.
Cedar Point is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
ALL RIDERS ARE REQUIRED TO GO THROUGH METAL DETECTION”

I rode TT2 Tue Apr 30, 2024. The locker system outside of TT2’s entrance was efficient (and free during the special event to keep people moving). You get to the lockers thru a temporary line queue railings to the locker area, which is separated from the ride line entrance by more railings. When you're done with the ride, you go around behind the lockers to access them. You exit the same way. Employees directed you. There were no directional signage. I've been told during the season that you can pay a fee (undisclosed as of yet, most likely $2 for 4 hrs or $10 all day and a moveable code for other lockers throughout the park) to use any the lockers (the old Top Thrill Dragster lockers). No one could tell me how many lockers there are. One employee's estimation was 700.
