MOST DANGEROUS SHARKS In The World
We admit we are terrified of sharks. Thanks to the movie "Jaws" that has intensified our fears. Hello and welcome to another episode of Amazed 5s where we have a look at the most dangerous sharks to humans.
The Bull shark
The Bull shark is famous for its very aggressive behavior. It is found worldwide in warm, shallow water. They can be the most dangerous to us, humans, than any other species of sharks as they have zero tolerance for provocation.
The Great white shark
The great white shark is another most dangerous shark to humans. Found in the coastal surface waters, these sharks can grow to 20 feet in length and weigh over two thousand kilograms. The shark has 300 sharp teeth and the most powerful bite of an animal. Annually, half of the shark attacks are due to the great white sharks. The muscular body of the shark allows it to chase down even the fastest prey in the sea.
The tiger shark
Next on the list is the tiger shark. Tiger shark has dark stripes resembling the stripes in a tiger down its body. Found in the tropical and temperate waters, these sharks are ranked second on the most reported bites on humans. It is considered the most dangerous sharks to humans; however, it has a low bite rate. Usually, four to five reported bites on humans occur annually in Hawaii, not deadly.
Shortfin mako shark
The Shortfin Mako shark is powerful, agile, and aggressive. Many shark attacks have been blamed on the Shortfin Mako shark. However, human beings are also to be accused as anglers have been injured when dragging the hooked mako sharks into their boats. The Shortfin Mako is considered the fastest shark that can swim at 20 miles an hour. Before attacking its prey, divers noted that these sharks swim in figure-eight patterns and approach their prey with their mouths open.
The Oceanic White tip shark
The Oceanic white tip shark is also known as the brown shark and is found in the deep waters. It swims slowly, yet it is a large and aggressive predator fish. It is located on the tropical waters. This shark is hunted for its fins, oil, and meat and hence is commercially important. And it is often during hunting that the Oceanic white tip shark injured the angulars. Recent studies have reported a decline in the population of oceanic whitetip shark. The reported cases of oceanic whitetip's attacks are not many because this shark gets away with its crimes by leaving not much evidence.
