Have you ever wondered what the most controversial moments in animated series were? Are you at least wondering about them now? Well, we’ve gathered together some very controversial cartoon moments that you really have to see – or in some cases hear – to believe. You may think you have an idea of what the most controversial cartoon moments will be like. The Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park are probably coming to mind. And, yes – those edgy shows definitely make the list their fair share of times – sometimes they’re just really offensive, and sometimes entire countries are banning them or threatening to sue them. Aside from the usual suspects, though, you may be surprised by some of the other controversial cartoon moments and the shows that created them. This list has gargoyles wielding weapons, Tiny Toons characters sipping on adult beverages and stealing police cars, and Arthur’s little sister, D.W., swearing like a sailor. Suffice it to say, when it comes to our favorite animated series, there’s a pretty wide range of moments that have sparked controversy. Some shows clearly forgot that they were supposed to be family-friendly, some had some downright offensive episodes, and one beloved series even caused nearly 700 seizures… Yes – we’re actually serious. Since most of these episodes were banned, this is probably going to be your first time seeing them. So, kick back, relax, and get ready to cover your ears when D.W. comes on the screen.
