1. You can purchase in advance, or after arriving in Japan!
2. Plan every journey in advance!
3. Many train lines are not JR , and are not covered!
4. Postpone activating your pass til you need it!
5. Expect long queues when collecting your pass!
6. Reserve window seats for popular views - Mount Fuji!
7. Reserve seats to accomodate oversized baggage!
8. It's unecessary for local travel!
9. Compare routes on Google, Hyperdia, and Ekinet.
10. Other JR Passes are available!
And here's an extra tip!
11. The pass can't be replaced, so don't lose it!
