In Disney news, a lot has changed at the Disney Theme Parks so far in 2023 at Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida. Two brand new rides have opened at the Disney parks with Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway in Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland & TRON Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. Brand new Nighttime Spectaculars like Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland, World of Color One at Disney California Adventure the return of Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom, and Epcot Forever at Epcot. Construction updates from many projects like Splash Mountain's transformation into Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, the Adventureland Treehouse which is replacing Tarzan's Treehouse at Disneyland, San FranSokyo Square at Disney California Adventure which is replacing Pacific Warf and the Epcot Overhaul including Journey of Water inspired by Moana. On August 6th, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom will close for a multi-month refurbishment. The ride vehicles are getting new looks, theyre gonna add handheld laser blasters as well interactive targets. In addition to the new vehicles a brand new scene and animatronic at the beginning of the ride will act as target practice to help us on our way to defeat the evil emperor Zurg.
