#YearInReview: The most popular crime videos of the year. What a year we’ve had. Unlike any other. We’ve seen a lot over the past 12 months. About the only constant bright spot for me has been making videos, hearing from viewers and watching my channel grow. This time last year I thanked you for pushing me past 80,000 subscribers. This year? I’m thanking you for pushing me past 200,000 subscribers. That makes me happy. Which videos were the most popular? Let me tell you about it.

Here are my Top 10 most-watched videos of 2020. Well, actually, I’m going with the top 11 — because one would for sure be in the top 10 if it hadn’t just been posted two weeks ago. It’s met with remarkable success.
• “Nationwide biker blitz hits Mongols down under” tells the story of Australian police raiding homes and club houses of members of the Mongols biker club in December. LINK: youtu.be/WNaziOkbojQ
• 10: “First narco-submarine captured in Europe — sinks with 3 tons of cocaine”. Posted late last year, it tells you the crazy story of a homemade sub that made it across the Atlantic before being spotted by an air patrol with night-vision cameras. LINK: youtu.be/XqkUigQ0HIE
• 9: “Russia’s elite gangsters are the new targets,” which tells the story of a Russian vor, known as Ando the Lame, in the context of a report on a new law in Russia that makes life much harder for the Russian mob. LINK: youtu.be/GXb4rK4JV0Q
• 8: “Police interrogation of a police chief.” This hilarious but damning police interrogation of a small-town chief in the United States got almost a million additional views this year, many from people who couldn’t stop coming back to read the equally hilarious comments left by viewers. • 7: “Gangsters caught selling nuclear device for $3.3 million,” which tells a little-known story of stolen radiological material being sold by gangsters in Moldova. Thankfully, the plot had been uncovered and the men were tracked as they flew to Austria to close the deal. LINK: youtu.be/t4AdfDm7Kwg
• 6: “Bulletproof SUV didn't stop hit on Mafia boss Pat Musitano,” which featured video I took at the crime scene where Pat was murdered this summer and my recounting of his colorful life and death. LINK: youtu.be/W8FVyVQwvrY
• 5: Is another Italian Mafia video, “Mafia buys world record drug stash from ISIS.” It shows the monstrously large stash, worth an estimated billion dollars, stopped from being smuggled into Italy from Syria at a port under the influence of the Camorra. LINK: youtu.be/siMf63ABNuI
• 4: Drew almost two million views this year, and I can see why. “Huge meeting of Russian mobsters raided by special forces” captures a glorious underworld scene showcasing the look and feel of mobsters on the streets of Moscow. LINK: youtu.be/dUEnU8NqhYk
• 3: “Fearless sledgehammer crew brought down hard,” tells of a stunningly brazen thuggish robbery crew in Britain that stood up to the unarmed police. LINK: youtu.be/RYlUxvj_uD8
• 2: “Teen who bragged of gang slaying in Snapchat video jailed for life.” It drew close to 5 million views this year and almost every one of them, I bet, almost laughed out loud when they saw the mug shot. LINK: youtu.be/2EyP9Te4ksA
• 1: The most popular video of the year was watched almost 6 million times in 2020. It’s a remarkable scene. Its title is “WILD RIDE | Coast Guard jumps onto fleeing narco-sub in Pacific Ocean.” But I just call it the gift that keeps on giving. LINK: youtu.be/TssmEdbW-WA
Last year at the end of my year in review, I said: “Let’s hope that 2020 is a fantastic one for all of us.” I hope I’m not the one who jinxed us.
I am very thankful for all of the views, comments, likes and support you’ve given me throughout a very hard year. I hope to keep you entertained and well informed in 2021. I only hope that this time, my wish is granted when I say that I wish you all have a fantastic year, or, at least, a much better one.
