It’s been a 5 year journey across one of the most diverse and misunderstood countries on Earth. From the highest peaks of the Caucasus mountains to silent islands in the Arctic, from long Siberian roads like the Chuysky Tract to remote places where there are no roads at all.
I never had a desire to travel in my homeland, and I was always driven by remote lands across the ocean. However, one day I decided to give it a try and visit some must-visit locations in Russia. And then, one place after another, I realized that I lived in a paradise for outdoor adventures and wild nature. And somehow I ended up visiting 80+ regions of this country. A country which is so far from perfect, but probably I don’t need perfect. I need something raw, off-the-beaten path, and real.
