Spyro has been on quite the wild ride across his series of games. He's had some good times, but for every good time he's had, he's had at least two times that were unbelievably awful. But I, like many people, tend to focus on the negatives. I shouldn't be thinking about Spyro at his worst, I should be thinking about his best, and that's what I'm here to talk about. Growing up, Crash Bandicoot was pretty much all I cared about. That hasnt changed over the years, but as an adult, its an embarrassing thing to admit, so I keep it to myself... unless its for a video on the internet, I guess. Despite my obsession though, there was one Crash Bandicoot game on the PS1 that I completely missed: Crash Bash. I played it once in my teens, but have never really given it a proper go. Crash had a very strong start in life with his incredible platformer trilogy and kart racer, but that quickly spiralled out of control into a mess of mid-tier copycats and strange shifts in genre, before eventaully fading into obscurity. Remakes exlucded, Crash had been dormant for roughly 12 long years. But then came Crash Bandicoot 4: Its About Time. When this game was released, I remember thinking that it was the best one in the series. Do I still think that today? Thats what Im here to discuss. I hope you enjoy! :]
