One question I hear often is, "Why do I have sensitive teeth?"

The nerve inside a tooth can become irritated which leads to tooth sensitivity. Open micro-channels, tooth grinding, and dry mouth are all potential causes of a sensitive tooth.

If the saliva is too acidic, it is important to alkalinize your diet and remineralize the saliva. Topical product, such as MI Paste, helps speedup this process because it does not have fluoride in it. Another way to decrease sensitivity is to have trays made at your dentist's office and treat with a remineralizing gel.

A lifestyle change is most important because sensitive teeth means something is out of balance - we need to address the root of the problem!
