Hello!
In today's video I take a wander through some local woodland, which leads me to the beach and eventually home.
Lately, I feel that there just seems to be so much shit going on, it's almost impossible to escape it and the 'noise' around it that it makes it very difficult to think straight. I needed just to get out for a local walk, to see if I could find any silence to help take my mind off things. When I say silence, mostly I mean a place where I can just be in the moment, in my own thoughts and let the natural noises around me, like the wind, or the ocean help bring about a peaceful feeling within.
This video is also me playing around with the @DJI osmo pocket 3, trying out various settings such as manual v auto shutter speeds and white balance, as well as well as slow motion mode. I also attached an ND32 Polarised filter, which given the conditions wasn't really needed but as I say, I was testing a few things out. For fun, I added some cinematic bars to the video to try and capture the 'cinematic look' that you hear lots of film makers talk about. Some things worked, some didn't but It's all good experience and a chance to build up my knowledge.
This was all filmed in 25fps and D LOG M (10 bit) and I tried to adjust the colours etc afterwards. I also tried the free DJI Osmo pocket 3 LUT and tweaked it here and there. the LUT works well on clearer days than this one but I find it a good starting point to then adjust accordingly.
