TONY GUERRERO: With 9 solo CDs, including several Billboard (and others) charting releases, Tony Guerrero and his quintet have long been a favorite around Southern California. They place a high priority on doing more than just "playing jazz", working hard to be sure the audience is engaged and entertained. Since his first solo release in 1988, Tony Guerrero's work as a contemporary jazz flugelhornist, trumpeter, composer, and producer has garnered him both critical success and a worldwide audience. He has toured the United States and much of the world as a headliner in major jazz festivals, concert halls, and clubs and has enjoyed commercial radio success not only with his own releases but with music he’s written for other artists. To date, he has released twelve solo CDs, some of which have charted on the Billboard Top 20, as well as a variety of special releases. He has appeared on over 200 albums as either producer, composer, arranger or as a musician performing on either trumpet, flugelhorn, piano, guitar and more. Guerrero’s work as a musician and composer can also be heard in movies and on television.
JEREMY SISKIND: Jeremy Siskind is an American pianist, composer, and educator known for his innovative blending of jazz and classical music. He is a two-time laureate of the American Pianists Association and the winner of the 2012 Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition. Siskind has performed jazz and classical music at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, in Japan, Switzerland, Thailand, Cyprus, England, Lebanon, India, Tunisia, France, and China. He has written 13 publications with Hal Leonard, including the landmark instructional books Playing Solo Jazz Piano and Jazz Piano Fundamentals. Siskind teaches at California’s Fullerton College, chairs the National Conference for Keyboard Pedagogy’s “Creativity Track,” and spreads peace through music in places like Lebanon, Tunisia, and Thailand with the non-profit organization, Jazz Education Abroad.
