On The TODAY Show, Tony Goldwyn, Octavia Spencer and Jenna Bush Hager shared something that feels rare on national television: hope. They sat down to discuss Tony’s experiences with One Small Step, a project from StoryCorps that brings people with different political beliefs together for one respectful, face-to-face conversation.
They believe, like we do, that real conversations, even with people we disagree with, can change hearts, build bridges, and remind us of our shared humanity.
It can be so powerful to show up and care when it feels easier to walk away, and to see what happens when we swap assumptions for real conversation.
We don’t have to agree on everything to start seeing each other more clearly. And it doesn’t take a sweeping act, just one step.
