Tom Bailey brings Sick Seconds 1.0 to HOT ROD Drag Week 2018. The week started with Drag Weekers out-running a hurricane through shortened routes, though a handful of local rainstorms brought some variety to the drives. On Wednesday, Tom lost a cylinder when it destroyed a ring and piston. The crew suspected it might’ve knocked the cylinder, but with no replacements from the near-by checkpoint at Musi Racing engines and just a few hours to get to Bristol, Tom, along with engine builder, Steve Morris, pulled together a last minute thrash to save the week. 6.764 at 214.62mph sealed the deal as Tom pedaled Sick 1.0 through the eighth-mile to secure his third win in Unlimited as the overall champion for 2018!
