That is why we are pleased to enter into a long-term commitment with Kuehne+Nagel, the world’s leading logistics provider, to secure volumes of solar aviation fuel from Synhelion starting in 2027. The innovative Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) technology developed by the Swiss cleantech pioneer paves the way for a more sustainable and future-ready air cargo and transport sector.
We are proud to be the first airline worldwide to source solar aviation fuel, sending a clear signal for an active shift within the aviation industry. By transferring volumes of solar SAF to Kuehne+Nagel, our air cargo division Swiss WorldCargo is deepening its strategic partnership with the logistics company, which will use the Sustainable Aviation Fuel for its freight operations.
With this offtake agreement, we are jointly accelerating the further development and commercial market introduction of Synhelion’s groundbreaking technology and making an important contribution to scaling sustainable aviation fuels.
