A cyclist attempts to cross active tracks, swerving out of the way at the very last second — fortunately, bikes swerve, because TRAINS DON'T!
This incident could have ended in tragedy. Trying to beat a train, ignoring flashing lights, or going around lowered crossing arms is never worth the risk. Trains can't turn to avoid collisions, and they require a long distance to come to a complete stop.
Stay safe: Always obey flashing lights and crossing gates. Only cross the tracks when the lights have stopped flashing and the gates are fully raised.
