Quest Mode. The first dungeon you play, the practice dungeon. All the text you see just as I am about to fight some monsters is supposed to be them giving tips on how quest mode works. The next dungeons afterwards don't have this. Although there's only a few floors to this one, you could spend a good while exploring any available paths to fight monsters, build up stats, and collect items/money. As you progress to other dungeons, the number of floors increases (the final one goes up to around 50), so a lot of time will be spent playing this mode.
