"Yes I am aware Protogens are often called toasters, but that won't stop me from being a little disappointed when I can't fight people with cooking equipment as the title implies.
Jokes aside, I think this is an okay first-person multiplayer shooter battle arena. Obviously it is far from finished but as long as the game is fun, who cares?
The developers did a smart move by adding in workshop support and a (mildly short) single player campaign since the servers were 99% empty. I'm sure there was a way to get bots to work but I didn't want to be interrupted when exploring the maps. Maybe I should've added them in since frustration on my end may be entertaining on the viewer's end. Oh well.
The single player campaign was VERY unfinished, but that's okay. The campaign was okay. It was kind of funny to see text telling me the map ended instead of kicking me back to the menu. It's a shame the map couldn't be used in a multiplayer server. That would be fun.
Also a very smart move, the developers added workshop support. So that way, people can make their own levels and campaigns. I will not be taking a look at it unless people beg me for it.
Overall, get it while it's still free. Obviously you should wait to play it until it's finished but I would highly recommend you get it before the developer(s) put a price on it. I'm not saying the developer(s) will put a price on it when it's finished but add it to your Steam library (if you have one) just in case.
To finish this wall of text, you're probably going to ask 'Jeriah, are you a furry?'. Depends on what's the most socially acceptable answer.
EDIT: The game updated while this video was uploading to YouTube. If you want me to cover the update, please let me know in the comments."
