Welcome to Sci-Fi month! For the next four weeks we’re looking at science fiction series, starting with Christopher Paolini’s new Fractalverse. It’s one massive book, To Sleep in a Sea of Stars, and one tiny prequel novel, Fractal Noise, with more to come soon.
Paolini's first series - The Inheritance Cycle - saw him become real famous real fast. So that meant anything he did next was going to fall under extreme scrutiny. This series has had some extreme reactions of both love and hate! Personally, I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. These are pretty good books… with a couple of flaws.
