The other day I found this VHS tape in my attic and thought I'd check it out.
It still has the little tab on it so I thought it might've been overwritten. Judging by the end, turns out it wasn't. It is a Christmas card for a guy named Paul, by a guy named Jim, who sounds an awful lot like me.
And here's where it gets interesting. Jim seems to have had the same exact ideas as me, because it has characters that look like Matt, Chloe, and Wilson, music that sounds like "A Crazy Journey", and it's even called "Crazy Compositions", like my series!
Is this a coincidence or something? Because it's a very funny one if you think about it.
This is fake btw. I was bored of how normal my life was so I made a VHS tape that seems like it would've come from an alternate universe, a long time ago. After I made it (and captured it) I hid it somewhere in my house, to make it more interesting. (For me, at least.) It was obviously based on the Homestar Runner cartoon "Super NES" from 1996 (except the part with Mr. Potato Head), and yes, it was recorded on a real VHS tape.
It was made on real hardware, with a real copy of Mario Paint, and an aftermarket mouse by Hyperkin because my original SNES Mouse's buttons don't work anymore.
I pointed my camera at my TV instead of using a capture card because I thought that would make it more authentic, y'know what I mean?
Anyways, happy new year and all that!
