The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is the debut album by Lift to Experience, released on June 26, 2001 by Bella Union.

The album is fully committed to the concept of Texas being the Promised Land, as per God’s covenant with Abraham.
Josh T Pearsons' narratives are written with the reverence of evangelical sermons, full of prophecy, prayer and revelation.
Pearson makes no attempt to compete with the music, his voice never more than a passive hush. The soundtrack warns of the apocalypse and carries the weight of impending doom.
Inspired by a religious upbringing and a desire to make great music that god can hear, this album is in a league of its own, played with great conviction and successfully avoids becoming a mere novelty.
