Suffering is something humans are designed to avoid at all costs. So when someone chooses the path of most resistance, we find it odd. However, only that person can truly answer what drives them to remain on that path.
For ultra runners Laura Kaplan and Keith Hayes, we find two different motives for engaging with suffering. Faced with a DIY endurance project less than 5 people have completed, they explore their relationship with hardship and suffering in real-time.
Winding a network of trails and hitting the halfway point at a 14k foot peak, their journey takes them from their front door through iconic locations outside of Boulder, Colorado.
To and From is a story steeped in regional history as experienced by two athletes learning about the impact of their own life events as they attempt their unique project.

![Arcteryx Presents: MUGA
What if climbing began with letting go?
In MUGA, world-renowned climber Ashima Shiraishi steps into the ancient granite of Switzerland’s Ticino Valley, where every hold and ripple in the rock tells a story millions of years in the making.
As the boundaries between self and stone dissolve, she enters muga—a liminal state free from attachment, expectation, and desire. Here, Ashima finds the space not just to climb, but simply to be.
Featuring: Ashima Shiraishi
Location: Ticino Valley, Switzerland
Presented by: Arc’teryx
