The old flag is truly weird as its basically stitching all kinds of ancient symbols onto a red and yellow banner. It was actually proposed by Gumilev Centre as the flag of Russia (link: http://vexillographia.ru/russia/index.htm), just imagine the world's reaction if they actually made it the national flag lol.
