Before Christ, we were foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to passions, and filled with malice and envy, hating others. But God, in His mercy, saved us through the regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, poured out through Jesus. We were justified by grace and made heirs to eternal life. Remember what you once were, and let that motivate you to share the gospel with others. Don't forget the gospel, and remember that you are a new creation in Jesus. As ambassadors of Christ, we are called to be salt and light, sharing the truth in love and expanding our comfort zones to reach the lost. We must guard ourselves against foolishness and remember our dependence on God. Now, our lives should reflect our faith in our work, citizenship, and relationships.
