The documentary is based on a story of friendship—a true story. Twenty years ago, a group of 14- and 15-year-old football players who lived in the old Masia, next to Camp Nou, dreamed out loud that one day they would manage the team of their hometown. That dream came true, because this group of young men went on to manage the best team in football history, the best Barça in history. Tito Vilanova, Pep Guardiola, Jordi Roura, Aureli Altimira, Francesc Xavier Sánchez Jara, and Jaume Torras not only talked about it—they even assigned roles among themselves. In the documentary, viewers will learn the inside details of those conversations and discover who was supposed to be the coach, who the fitness coach, who the goalkeeping coach, and who the future president. Throughout the documentary, Vilanova’s friends speak about Tito’s great passion for football, which stayed with him until the very end. This work includes testimonies from Tito Vilanova’s close friends: Jordi Roura, Aureli Altimira, and Jaume Torras; as well as from “Charly” Rexach, who was his coach when Tito played for Barça’s youth team. Leo Messi and Gerard Piqué also speak; both crossed paths with him when he was coach of Barça’s cadet team.
