App Inventor for Android is an open-source web application originally provided by Google, and now maintained by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It allows newcomers to computer programming to create software applications for the Android operating system (OS).
App Inventor and the projects on which it is based are informed by constructionist learning theories, which emphasizes that programming can be a vehicle for engaging powerful ideas through active learning. As such, it is part of an ongoing movement in computers and education that began with the work of Seymour Papert and the MIT Logo Group in the 1960s and has also manifested itself with Mitchel Resnick's work on Lego Mindstorms and StarLogo

![LiFi communication Audio Tishitu
Tishitu explains
What is LI-Fi - VLC
In circuit :-
From Audio input we get very low audio signals of 20Hz to 20KHz. these signals paces through C1 i uf (electrolytic) where DC (Direct Current) components are removed and through R3 10k current limit for comparator Lm741 (op-amp) , through R1 15k and R4 15k voltage limit to 9v/2 = 4.5v , V/R 1M pot or controller for feed back gain controller to control volume at output to base of Transistor , here transistor work as modulator and amplifier , C3, C4 are filters to reduce ac components spike in circuit ,
Working :- We know that carrier waves can take signals along to destination , so this is simple concept when we put photons with speed of light by source to destination it can also carry signals of low frequency to destination .. so we build a circuit which can modulate light with low frequency signals , when we pass lo signals to circuit C1 allows lo signals at pin 3 of op-amp and compare with pin 2 those signals amplify at pin 6 of op-amp with +ive voltage and signal which make transistor Q1 keep alive and LED continuous glow .. whenever signals interrupt through pin 3 of op-amp , there is very little fluctuations at pin6 and amplified by transistor (Q1) which gives flickering effect to LED (D1) and make VLC (Visible light communication) alive..
Note :- When you trying to experiment , check LED must Glow and turn potentiometer to nominal preset value where LED flicker
Well now days we are using wire and radio signals as a transmitter and receiver for communication , but it contain harmful radiation which is not worth to human kind . so taken Light as a source and receiver as a communication is good idea for Green technique, no harmful radiation wide spectrum use for commercial and industrial platforms. In above video you have basic schematic for starter with Li-fi Project
History and Detailed description:-
It is a 5G visible light communication system that uses light from light-emitting diodes (LEDs) (Laser) as a medium to deliver networked, mobile, high-speed communication in a similar manner as Wi-Fi. Li-Fi could lead to the Internet of Things, which is everything electronic being connected to the internet, with the LED lights on the electronics being used as Li-Fi internet access points. The Li-Fi market is projected to have a compound annual growth rate of 82% from 2013 to 2018 and to be worth over $6 billion per year by 2018.
Visible light communications (VLC) works by switching bulbs on and off within nanoseconds, which is too quickly to be noticed by the human eye. Although Li-Fi bulbs would have to be kept on to transmit data, the bulbs could be dimmed to the point that they were not visible to humans and yet still functional. The light waves cannot penetrate walls which makes a much shorter range, though more secure from hacking, relative to Wi-Fi. Direct line of sight isnt necessary for Li-Fi to transmit a signal; light reflected off the walls can achieve 70 Mbit/s.
Li-Fi has the advantage of being useful in electromagnetic sensitive areas such as in aircraft cabins, hospitals and nuclear power plants[citation needed] without causing electromagnetic interference. Both Wi-Fi and Li-Fi transmit data over the electromagnetic spectrum, but whereas Wi-Fi utilises radio waves, Li-Fi uses visible light. While the US Federal Communications Commission has warned of a potential spectrum crisis because Wi-Fi is close to full capacity, Li-Fi has almost no limitations on capacity. The visible light spectrum is 10,000 times larger than the entire radio frequency spectrum.Researchers have reached data rates of over 10 Gbit/s, which is more than 250 times faster than superfast broadband. Li-Fi is expected to be ten times cheaper than Wi-Fi. Short range, low reliability and high installation costs are the potential downsides.
