This is a good way to smoke CT spawn (A Side) from Long A on Dust 2 as a Terrorist. This is especially good to be used against an eco as it will give you the sight lines to cross long without having pistols get too close on you, but still provide cover. This can also be used on gun rounds provided that enemies are not on catwalk with rifles/awps. Thanks JasonR for the suggestion.
