Before you walk away, make sure everything’s square, because if it’s not, now is the time you can fix it. Use your trusty combination square to ensure individual pieces are square to each other, and for completed assemblies, measure from corner to corner or use a squaring stick to confirm that the measurements are the same. Keep a long clamp nearby—it’s the quickest way to pull a piece back into alignment while the glue’s still wet.⁠
