Get your clamps ready before the pressure’s on. Run painter’s tape along bar clamps to keep glue from drying on them and to prevent the metal bars from potentially staining your workpiece. Set each clamp close and unscrew it all the way so you have the full clamping range, just in case you need to put a little extra pressure on.
