I turned a few small wooden fish on the lathe as a surprise gift for a sweet 2-year-old girl. Her joy was pure and priceless—she hugged them like treasure. Sometimes, the simplest projects bring the biggest smiles. This was one of those moments I’ll never forget. The first try wasn’t quite what we pictured, so I made a second attempt—and it was worth it.
