In October of 2017, Sandia broke ground for a new computer center dedicated to high-performance computing. The building boasts innovative low and renewable energy consumption using onsite water and solar farms. The building is also home to Astra, NNSA’s latest super computer and the world’s fastest Arm-based machine.
