Any sign textbox will cancel time stop, as the dialogue box for signs restarts time after it goes off the screen. This means that we don't need to have access to the original object to cancel time stop, we merely need a sign close enough to be loaded. Unfortunately it needs to be a sign or a wall sign, as testing with the pink Bob-omb caused a softlock. I hypothesize that any object that has to face Mario when they're talked to will also cause a softlock.
