I absolutely loved the “Time Machine” Warriors MAP hosted by Crowla and Giingersnaps and when I saw Azure_Artz hosting a Wings of Fire version, I was ecstatic! This has to be my favorite MAP I’ve joined so far and I’m so grateful to be a part of it!
If you don’t know the concept, it’s basically an AU MAP where your OC is a time traveler who goes back and fixes problems in different way to have happier outcomes. (All OCs have a path-seeing gem on their head and all use portals to travel.) In this particular part, my OC Cloudburst (my science-loving animus/ explorer and older brother to Cloudberg) goes back in time to fix Hawthorn‘s death in The Poison Jungle. Being the smart dragon he is, he not only uses his animus powers (“I enchant these leaves so that when they fall onto another plant, they allow that plant to reverse the mind controlling effects of the Breath of Evil when burned or consumed.”) to create an antidote for the Breath of Evil using Hawthorn’s stash of the feared plant, but also hides away to avoid being seen, letting Hawthorn take the credit and restoring his reputation in the LeafWing tribe. (BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT HE DESERVES!!)
The Poison Jungle is by far my favorite book in the series, but Hawthorn’s death really made me sad. I was hoping he’d get a chance at redemption after following his queen’s orders, getting blamed for her mistakes, and being banished until he could fix them, but I guess not. :/ Either way, it made for a really amazing read, but I honestly prefer this AU’s outcome. :D Hawthorn is good now!
Once again, big thanks to Azure_Artz for letting me join the MAP!! (As well as a big thanks to Crowla and Giingersnaps for the original concept!) I’m so hyped for this MAP! The Warriors version was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and I’ve seen some pretty awesome parts already finished for this one!!
