THIS WILL OFFEND SOME PEOPLE: JESUS DID NOT TELL YOU TO PRAY FOR THE SICK. HE TOLD YOU TO HEAL THEM.

Most believers still say, “I’ll pray for you.”

Jesus said, “Go. Heal the sick.”

That is different.

In Matthew 10 and Luke 10, Jesus gave power and authority.

Not advice.

Not motivation.

Power.

Authority.

He said:

• Heal the sick
• Cleanse the lepers
• Raise the dead
• Cast out demons

He did not say:

• Wait for perfect faith
• Hope something happens
• Blame the sick person

So here is the real question:

Are you going with a commission?
Or are you hoping for a lucky moment?

Isaiah 53:5 says, “By His stripes we are healed.”

1 Peter 2:24 says, “By His stripes you were healed.”

Past tense.

Healing was settled at the cross.

You are not trying to convince God to heal.

You are enforcing what Jesus already paid for.

Acts 10:38 says Jesus healed all who were oppressed by the devil.

All.

Not some.

Sickness was never called a blessing.

It was called oppression.

So why do many believers hesitate?

Fear.

Fear of failure.
Fear of embarrassment.
Fear nothing will happen.

But Jesus said in Luke 10:19:

“I give you authority… and nothing shall hurt you.”

Authority removes fear.

Boldness replaces doubt.

In Acts 3, Peter did not pray a long prayer.

He said, “In the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk.”

And the man walked.

Peter later prayed for boldness.

Not safety.

Not comfort.

Boldness.

Because boldness releases action.

Here is what most people miss:

Miracles reveal glory.

When Jesus turned water into wine, the Bible says He showed His glory.

When He raised Lazarus, He said, “If you believe, you will see the glory of God.”

Glory follows miracles.

If the church removes miracles, it becomes a religious club.

No power.

No proof.

Acts 2:22 describes Jesus as a man accredited by:

• Signs
• Wonders
• Miracles

That was His evidence.

What is ours?

Mark 16 says:

“These signs shall follow those who believe…
They will lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Not pastors only.

Believers.

That includes you.

So ask yourself:

Do you believe healing is finished work?
Do you believe the Holy Spirit still anoints people?
Do you speak the name of Jesus like you know what stands behind it?

When a police officer stops a truck, it is not his size that matters.

It is the authority behind the badge.

When you speak the name of Jesus, heaven backs that name.

The cross backs that name.

The resurrection backs that name.

Stop shrinking the gospel.

Stop reducing Jesus to words without power.

If God is with us, where are the wonders?

Faith comes by hearing the report.

What report?

“He was wounded.”
“He was bruised.”
“By His stripes we are healed.”

Preach that.

Believe that.

Act on that.

Go with boldness.

Lay hands on the sick.

Expect recovery.

If this challenges you, good.

If this stirs you, even better.

The world does not need more talk.

It needs proof.
