Announcing the May 4, 2010 Appleseed Recordings release
Tim Eriksen- Soul of the January Hills
Just for fun I included some home video of various actors and Hollywood studio people chasing a bear in Transylvania. The curly headed one is Nicole Kidman as you could probably guess. This was shot during a party on a day off from filming Cold Mountain in Poiana Brasov, Romania. Renee Zellweger's driver Cristian (sorry man, forgot your last name) is a barbecue master and cooked up some great Transylvanian mici (a beef and lamb thing very close to Bosnian cevapi, but a little different flavor). We knew there were bears up on the mountain (as in Brothers Grimm big scary ones, not the kind you rattle your soda can at) but nobody had seen one. Someone got the brilliant idea to leave a big pile of raw meat on the pension driveway and hope for the best. After an hour or so there was a ruckus and everyone ran out front only to find out that a little bear cub had grabbed some sausages and run off. We all went back to eating, making music etc. until another hour or so passed and there was another ruckus out front. This time a bunch of us ambled thinking we'd see either the bear cub or probably nothing at all. We were in for a surprise, as they say, though I think the bear was more scared that we were- possibly because it was so unfairly outnumbered by Hollywood elite and any attempted violence would have meant permanent D list status.
