Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (77 min)
Synopsis: In an unnamed Victorian town, Victor Van Dort, the son of nouveau riche fish merchants, and Victoria Everglot, the neglected daughter of impoverished aristocrats, prepare for their arranged marriage. The nervous Victor ruins their wedding rehearsal by forgetting his vows. Fleeing to a nearby forest, he successfully rehearses his vows with a tree and places his wedding ring on an upturned root. However, the root is revealed to be the skeletal finger of a dead girl named Emily gowned in a wedding dress, who rises from the grave, proclaims herself as Victor's new wife, and spirits him away to the Land of the Dead, a realm far more colorful and whimsical. In the Land of the Living, Victoria waits desperately for his return while her parents, believing Victor to have left her, make new arrangements for her to marry Lord Barkis Bittern, a presumed-wealthy visitor who appeared at the wedding rehearsal. With two brides both pining for him, Victor must decide between his love-at-first-sight fiancé Victoria, or his tragic corpse bride Emily.
