Tidal Wave's forthcoming new record Volume Tree captures the loud foursome at their absolute heaviest. These sounds are more sinister than anything on their debut Blueberry Muffin, and the band’s grunge influences punch through on tracks like “Hangman”, while “Temple of Humanity” takes a dark turn by revealing a more progressive side of their music. Lyrically, the album spans from Black Sabbath worship on “Earth” to a bully's redemption tale on the faster and snarling debut single “Sideburns”, while keeping things fresh, modern and as punchy as a knuckleduster.
The band likes to see Volume Tree as a compilation of creative forces, as it was recorded across three different studios and mixed by three different engineers, with each track carving out its own unique soundscape and vibe. All tracks were however mastered by the talented Joona Hassinen at Studio Underjord, with stunning cover art by Kristoffer Nordgren (Prettyshittyinc).
