Samsung; Fossil; Motorola. These are the names that come to mind when you think about non-Apple smartwatches (with occasional cameos by other classics like Casio, Citizen and Montblanc). In this crowded establishment, the name “Mobvoi” doesn’t exactly stand out. But with its new TicWatch E3, the nine-year-old Beijing-based, Google-backed company has delivered something none of those other brands yet has: a smartwatch with silicon powerful enough to run very well today … and hopefully, tomorrow.
