Thymen Arensman was late getting to the starting line for Stage 16 of the Tour de France 2026, and the delay cost him precious seconds in the 26.1-kilometer individual time trial.

He was four seconds down when he completed his run and ended up finishing seventh overall, 1 minute, 46 seconds behind winner Remco Evenepoel.
