A surf trip to the very north of Scotland has been on the cards for a while now. Thurso is legendary and there are loads of great spots, both reef and beach breaks, along the entire northern coastline. It's not dissimilar to Ireland but it's location means it picks up so much swell and you're guaranteed uncrowded line ups.
