This is my Thunder Force IV 1CC/1LC run on Maniac difficulty with commentary. It was recorded using an RGB cable on a model 1 Sega Genesis which was modded to play PAL region games. A Framemeister upscaler unit was also used in order to get maximum visual fidelity. An ExtremeCap U3 capture card was used to record the footage at 60FPS. I decided to go with the PAL version of Thunder Force IV because it was programmed to run at full speed and I hate that they changed the name in the US to Lightening Force. Plus, I'm a purist.
This run took me roughly 2 and a half months of practice before I was able to pull it off. Thunder Force 4 is a really tough game on Maniac. There are so many difficult situations and one particular boss (the Desert Rat on Daser as I like to call him) that took me a large amount of time to master. All in all though this run turned out well. My shield only got hit a few times and my final score came in at 6699260. Which I'm guessing is pretty good?
Anyway, enjoy the run and any feedback is appreciated!

![Legendary Wings [NES] - A Graphical Guided Tour & 1CC Run
SHMUP Master Presents: Legendary Wings [NES]
Legendary Wings is a SHMUP ported from the arcade to the NES in 1988 by Capcom. There isnt anything particularly great about it, but its a fun, albeit easy romp. Its worth playing if you love 8-bit SHMUPS and dont want to deal with a super difficult game.
This was the quickest I have ever been able to capture a 1cc run, which took me roughly 2 nights. I planned on just releasing the run with an overlay but then started adding things... and a month later, ended up with a fully produced video to go along with my 1cc run of the game.
Im fairly confident that no one has done a video quite like this before. I took the idea I started with my HyperZone video and expanded on it quite a bit. The end result is a graphical guided tour of sorts for Legendary Wings. I animated most of the enemies and bosses in the game and used them throughout my run to create a video outside the video, if that makes sense. My intention was to add to the experience of a game that is perhaps, a bit bland to watch at times. Hopefully spicing it up this way makes the game a bit more interesting than it actually is.
Feedback and suggestions for future videos are always welcomed!
*All footage was captured on an original NES Model 2 console (modded for RGB Output) through a Framemeister using RGB at 60fps.
