Finally back with a (hopefully-successful-after-one-attempt) walkthrough of YET ANOTHER REALLY HARD 16-BIT SHMUP. Seriously, GRADIUS 3 has F__K-ALL ON THIS!
A direct Genesis (aka MegaDrive port) of its original Sharp X68000 counterpart, as well as the sequel to a top-view shmup - which made its Japan-only debut back in '84 on various computer systems, including the Sharp MX-1 and the MZ-1500...as well as the Fujitsu Micro (FM)-7, NEC PC-6001 [mkII], PC-8801, PC-9801 [mkII], this revolved around the efforts of the Galaxy Federation's FIRE-LEO battle craft, codename 'Exceliza', this time seeking out and destroying the ORN Empire's Plealos battleship, prior to which all of its defenses and armadas need to be eradicated. This segment showcases Areas 1, 2 and 3.
